Surah Al-A'raaf
And do not sit on every path, threatening and averting from the way of Allah those who believe in Him, seeking to make it [seem] deviant. And remember when you were few and He increased you. And see how was the end of the corrupters.﴿86﴾
Translation
And do not sit on every path, threatening and averting from the way of Allah those who believe in Him, seeking to make it [seem] deviant. And remember when you were few and He increased you. And see how was the end of the corrupters.
Simplified Tafsir
ولا تقعدوا بكل طريق تتوعدون الناس بالقتل، إن لم يعطوكم أموالهم، وتصدُّون عن سبيل الله القويم من صدَّق به عز وجل، وعمل صالحًا، وتبغون سبيل الله أن تكون معوجة، وتميلونها اتباعًا لأهوائكم، وتنفِّرون الناس عن اتباعها. واذكروا نعمة الله تعالى عليكم إذ كان عددكم قليلا فكثَّركم، فأصبحتم أقوياء عزيزين، وانظروا كيف كان عاقبة المفسدين في الأرض، وما حلَّ بهم من الهلاك والدمار؟
