Surah Al-A'raaf
Or [lest] you say, "It was only that our fathers associated [others in worship] with Allah before, and we were but descendants after them. Then would You destroy us for what the falsifiers have done?"﴿173﴾
Translation
Or [lest] you say, "It was only that our fathers associated [others in worship] with Allah before, and we were but descendants after them. Then would You destroy us for what the falsifiers have done?"
Simplified Tafsir
أو لئلا تقولوا: إنما أشرك آباؤنا من قبلنا ونقضوا العهد، فاقتدينا بهم من بعدهم، أفتعذبنا بما فعل الذين أبطلوا أعمالهم بجعلهم مع الله شريكا في العبادة؟
