Surah Al-Maaida
Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist?﴿91﴾
Translation
Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist?
Simplified Tafsir
إنما يريد الشيطان بتزيين الآثام لكم أن يُلقِي بينكم ما يوجد العداوة والبغضاء، بسبب شرب الخمر ولعب الميسر، ويصرفكم عن ذكر الله وعن الصلاة بغياب العقل في شرب الخمر، والاشتغال باللهو في لعب الميسر، فانتهوا عن ذلك.
