Ayah 73

Surah An-Nisaa

But if bounty comes to you from Allah, he will surely say, as if there had never been between you and him any affection. "Oh, I wish I had been with them so I could have attained a great attainment."﴿73﴾

Translation

But if bounty comes to you from Allah, he will surely say, as if there had never been between you and him any affection. "Oh, I wish I had been with them so I could have attained a great attainment."

Simplified Tafsir

ولئن نالكم فضل من الله وغنيمة، ليقولن -حاسدًا متحسرًا، كأن لم تكن بينكم وبينه مودة في الظاهر-: يا ليتني كنت معهم فأظفر بما ظَفِروا به من النجاة والنصرة والغنيمة.
