O People of the Scripture, why do you argue about Abraham while the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after him? Then will you not reason?﴿65﴾
Translation
O People of the Scripture, why do you argue about Abraham while the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after him? Then will you not reason?
Simplified Tafsir
يا أصحاب الكتب المنزلة من اليهود والنصارى، كيف يجادل كل منكم في أن إبراهيم عليه السلام كان على ملَّته، وما أُنزلت التوراة والإنجيل إلا من بعده؟ أفلا تفقهون خطأ قولكم: إن إبراهيم كان يهودياً أو نصرانياً، وقد علمتم أن اليهودية والنصرانية حدثت بعد وفاته بحين؟
