Surah Aal-i-Imraan
Certainly did Allah confer [great] favor upon the believers when He sent among them a Messenger from themselves, reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom, although they had been before in manifest error.﴿164﴾
Translation
Certainly did Allah confer [great] favor upon the believers when He sent among them a Messenger from themselves, reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom, although they had been before in manifest error.
Simplified Tafsir
لقد أنعم الله على المؤمنين من العرب؛ إذ بعث فيهم رسولا من أنفسهم، يتلو عليهم آيات القرآن، ويطهرهم من الشرك والأخلاق الفاسدة، ويعلمهم القرآن والسنة، وإن كانوا من قبل هذا الرسول لفي غيٍّ وجهل ظاهر.
