Ayah 31

Surah Al-Baqara

And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, "Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful."﴿31﴾

Translation

And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, "Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful."

Simplified Tafsir

وبيانًا لفضل آدم عليه السلام علَّمه الله أسماء الأشياء كلها، ثم عرض مسمياتها على الملائكة قائلا لهم: أخبروني بأسماء هؤلاء الموجودات، إن كنتم صادقين في أنكم أَوْلى بالاستخلاف في الأرض منهم.
