Ayah 272
Surah Al-Baqara
Not upon you, [O Muhammad], is [responsibility for] their guidance, but Allah guides whom He wills. And whatever good you [believers] spend is for yourselves, and you do not spend except seeking the countenance of Allah. And whatever you spend of good - it will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.﴿272﴾
Translation
Not upon you, [O Muhammad], is [responsibility for] their guidance, but Allah guides whom He wills. And whatever good you [believers] spend is for yourselves, and you do not spend except seeking the countenance of Allah. And whatever you spend of good - it will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.
Simplified Tafsir
لست -أيها الرسول- مسئولا عن توفيق الكافرين للهداية، ولكن الله يشرح صدور مَن يشاء لدينه، ويوفقه له. وما تبذلوا من مال يَعُدْ عليكم نَفْعُه من الله، والمؤمنون لا ينفقون إلا طلبًا لمرضاة الله. وما تنفقوا من مال -مخلصين لله- توفوا ثوابه، ولا تُنْقَصُوا شيئا من ذلك. وفي الآية إثبات صفة الوجه لله تعالى على ما يليق به سبحانه.
