Ayah 225

Surah Al-Baqara

Allah does not impose blame upon you for what is unintentional in your oaths, but He imposes blame upon you for what your hearts have earned. And Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing.﴿225﴾

Translation

Allah does not impose blame upon you for what is unintentional in your oaths, but He imposes blame upon you for what your hearts have earned. And Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing.

Simplified Tafsir

لا يعاقبكم الله بسبب أيمانكم التي تحلفونها بغير قصد، ولكن يعاقبكم بما قصدَتْه قلوبكم. والله غفور لمن تاب إليه، حليم بمن عصاه حيث لم يعاجله بالعقوبة.
