Ayah 74

Surah Al-Kahf

So they set out, until when they met a boy, al-Khidh r killed him. [Moses] said, "Have you killed a pure soul for other than [having killed] a soul? You have certainly done a deplorable thing."﴿74﴾

Translation

So they set out, until when they met a boy, al-Khidh r killed him. [Moses] said, "Have you killed a pure soul for other than [having killed] a soul? You have certainly done a deplorable thing."

Simplified Tafsir

فقبل الخَضِر عذره، ثم خرجا من السفينة، فبينما هما يمشيان على الساحل إذ أبصرا غلامًا يلعب مع الغلمان، فقتله الخَضِر، فأنكر موسى عليه وقال: كيف قتلت نفسًا طاهرة لم تبلغ حدَّ التكليف، ولم تقتل نفسًا، حتى تستحق القتل بها؟ لقد فَعَلْتَ أمرًا منكرًا عظيمًا.
