Ayah 44

Surah At-Tawba

Those who believe in Allah and the Last Day would not ask permission of you to be excused from striving with their wealth and their lives. And Allah is Knowing of those who fear Him.﴿44﴾

Translation

Those who believe in Allah and the Last Day would not ask permission of you to be excused from striving with their wealth and their lives. And Allah is Knowing of those who fear Him.

Simplified Tafsir

ليس من شأن المؤمنين بالله ورسوله واليوم الآخر أن يستأذنوك -أيها النبي- في التخلف عن الجهاد في سبيل الله بالنفس والمال، وإنما هذا من شأن المنافقين. والله عليم بمن خافه فاتقاه بأداء فرائضه واجتناب نواهيه.
