Surah Al-Anfaal
If you [have reason to] fear from a people betrayal, throw [their treaty] back to them, [putting you] on equal terms. Indeed, Allah does not like traitors.﴿58﴾
Translation
If you [have reason to] fear from a people betrayal, throw [their treaty] back to them, [putting you] on equal terms. Indeed, Allah does not like traitors.
Simplified Tafsir
وإن خفت -أيها الرسول- من قومٍ خيانة ظهرت بوادرها فألق إليهم عهدهم، كي يكون الطرفان مستويين في العلم بأنه لا عهد بعد اليوم. إن الله لا يحب الخائنين في عهودهم الناقضين للعهد والميثاق.
