Surah Al-Anfaal
That is because Allah would not change a favor which He had bestowed upon a people until they change what is within themselves. And indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.﴿53﴾
Translation
That is because Allah would not change a favor which He had bestowed upon a people until they change what is within themselves. And indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
Simplified Tafsir
ذلك الجزاء السيِّئ بأن الله إذا أنعم على قوم نعمة لم يسلبها منهم حتى يغيِّروا حالهم الطيبة إلى حال سيئة، وأن الله سميع لأقوال خلقه، عليم بأحوالهم، فيجري عليهم ما اقتضاه علمه ومشيئته.
