Surah Al-A'raaf
Then do you wonder that there has come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from among you, that he may warn you? And remember when He made you successors after the people of Noah and increased you in stature extensively. So remember the favors of Allah that you might succeed.﴿69﴾
Translation
Then do you wonder that there has come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from among you, that he may warn you? And remember when He made you successors after the people of Noah and increased you in stature extensively. So remember the favors of Allah that you might succeed.
Simplified Tafsir
وهل أثار عجبكم أن أنزل الله تعالى إليكم ما يذكركم بما فيه الخير لكم، على لسان رجل منكم، تعرفون نسبه وصدقه؛ ليخوِّفكم بأس الله وعقابه؟ واذكروا نعمة الله عليكم إذ جعلكم تخلفون في الأرض مَن قبلكم من بعد ما أهلك قوم نوح، وزاد في أجسامكم قوة وضخامة، فاذكروا نِعَمَ الله الكثيرة عليكم؛ رجاء أن تفوزوا الفوز العظيم في الدنيا والآخرة.
