Surah Al-A'raaf
And [recall, O Children of Israel], when We saved you from the people of Pharaoh, [who were] afflicting you with the worst torment - killing your sons and keeping your women alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord.﴿141﴾
Translation
And [recall, O Children of Israel], when We saved you from the people of Pharaoh, [who were] afflicting you with the worst torment - killing your sons and keeping your women alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord.
Simplified Tafsir
واذكروا - يا بني إسرائيل - نِعَمنا عليكم إذ أنقذناكم من أَسْر فرعون وآله، وما كنتم فيه من الهوان والذلة من تذبيح أبنائكم واستبقاء نسائكم للخدمة، وفي حَمْلِكم على أقبح العذاب وأسوئه، ثم إنجائكم، اختبار من الله لكم ونعمة عظيمة.
