Ayah 11
Surah Al-Mumtahana
And if you have lost any of your wives to the disbelievers and you subsequently obtain [something], then give those whose wives have gone the equivalent of what they had spent. And fear Allah, in whom you are believers.﴿11﴾
Translation
And if you have lost any of your wives to the disbelievers and you subsequently obtain [something], then give those whose wives have gone the equivalent of what they had spent. And fear Allah, in whom you are believers.
Simplified Tafsir
وإن لحقت بعض زوجاتكم مرتدات إلى الكفار، ولم يعطكم الكفار مهورهن التي دفعتموها لهن، ثم ظَفِرتم بهؤلاء الكفار أو غيرهم وانتصرتم عليهم، فأعطوا الذين ذهبت أزواجهم من المسلمين من الغنائم أو غيرها مثل ما أعطوهن من المهور قبل ذلك، وخافوا الله الذي أنتم به مؤمنون.
