Surah Al-An'aam
And if We had made him an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that in which they cover themselves.﴿9﴾
Translation
And if We had made him an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that in which they cover themselves.
Simplified Tafsir
ولو جعلنا الرسول المرسل إليهم مَلَكًا إذ لم يقتنعوا بمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، لجعلنا ذلك الملك في صورة البشر، حتى يستطيعوا السماع منه ومخاطبته؛ إذ ليس بإمكانهم رؤية الملك على صورته الملائكية، ولو جاءهم الملك بصورة رجل لاشتبه الأمر عليهم، كما اشتبه عليهم أمر محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم.
