Surah Al-Maaida
If You should punish them - indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them - indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.﴿118﴾
Translation
If You should punish them - indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them - indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
Simplified Tafsir
إنك يا ألله إن تعذبهم فإنهم عبادك -وأنت أعلم بأحوالهم-، تفعل بهم ما تشاء بعدلك، وإن تغفر برحمتك لمن أتى منهم بأسباب المغفرة، فإنك أنت العزيز الذي لا يغالَبُ، الحكيم في تدبيره وأمره. وهذه الآية ثناء على الله -تعالى- بحكمته وعدله، وكمال علمه.
