Surah Al-Hujuraat
O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful.﴿6﴾
Translation
O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful.
Simplified Tafsir
يا أيها الذين صدَّقوا الله ورسوله وعملوا بشرعه، إن جاءكم فاسق بخبر فتثبَّتوا من خبره قبل تصديقه ونقله حتى تعرفوا صحته؛ خشية أن تصيبوا قومًا برآء بجناية منكم، فتندموا على ذلك.
