Ayah 16
Surah Muhammad
And among them, [O Muhammad], are those who listen to you, until when they depart from you, they say to those who were given knowledge, "What has he said just now?" Those are the ones of whom Allah has sealed over their hearts and who have followed their [own] desires.﴿16﴾
Translation
And among them, [O Muhammad], are those who listen to you, until when they depart from you, they say to those who were given knowledge, "What has he said just now?" Those are the ones of whom Allah has sealed over their hearts and who have followed their [own] desires.
Simplified Tafsir
ومن هؤلاء المنافقين مَن يستمع إليك -أيها النبي- بغير فهم؛ تهاونًا منهم واستخفافًا، حتى إذا انصرفوا من مجلسك قالوا لمن حضروا مجلسك من أهل العلم بكتاب الله على سبيل الاستهزاء: ماذا قال محمد الآن؟ أولئك الذين ختم الله على قلوبهم، فلا تفقه الحق ولا تهتدي إليه، واتبعوا أهواءهم في الكفر والضلال.
