Surah Al-Ahqaf
And before it was the scripture of Moses to lead and as a mercy. And this is a confirming Book in an Arabic tongue to warn those who have wronged and as good tidings to the doers of good.﴿12﴾

And before it was the scripture of Moses to lead and as a mercy. And this is a confirming Book in an Arabic tongue to warn those who have wronged and as good tidings to the doers of good.
Simplified Tafsir
ومن قبل هذا القرآن أنزلنا التوراة إمامًا لبني إسرائيل يقتدون بها، ورحمة لمن آمن بها وعمل بما فيها، وهذا القرآن مصدق لما قبله من الكتب، أنزلناه بلسان عربي؛ لينذر الذين ظلموا أنفسهم بالكفر والمعصية، وبشرى للذين أطاعوا الله، فأحسنوا في إيمانهم وطاعتهم في الدنيا.
