Surah Al-Jaathiya
Say, [O Muhammad], to those who have believed that they [should] forgive those who expect not the days of Allah so that He may recompense a people for what they used to earn.﴿14﴾
Translation
Say, [O Muhammad], to those who have believed that they [should] forgive those who expect not the days of Allah so that He may recompense a people for what they used to earn.
Simplified Tafsir
قل -أيها الرسول- للذين صدَّقوا بالله واتَّبَعوا رسله يعفوا، ويتجاوزوا عن الذين لا يرجون ثواب الله، ولا يخافون بأسه إذا هم نالوا الذين آمنوا بالأذى والمكروه؛ ليجزي الله هؤلاء المشركين بما كانوا يكسبون في الدنيا من الآثام وإيذاء المؤمنين.
