Surah Ash-Shura
And if Allah willed, He could have made them [of] one religion, but He admits whom He wills into His mercy. And the wrongdoers have not any protector or helper.﴿8﴾
Translation
And if Allah willed, He could have made them [of] one religion, but He admits whom He wills into His mercy. And the wrongdoers have not any protector or helper.
Simplified Tafsir
ولو شاء الله أن يجمع خَلْقَه على الهدى ويجعلهم على ملة واحدة مهتدية لفعل، ولكنه أراد أن يُدخل في رحمته مَن يشاء مِن خواص خلقه. والظالمون أنفسهم بالشرك ما لهم من وليٍّ يتولى أمورهم يوم القيامة، ولا نصير ينصرهم من عقاب الله تعالى.
