Surah Ghafir
Indeed, those who disbelieve will be addressed, "The hatred of Allah for you was [even] greater than your hatred of yourselves [this Day in Hell] when you were invited to faith, but you refused."﴿10﴾
Translation
Indeed, those who disbelieve will be addressed, "The hatred of Allah for you was [even] greater than your hatred of yourselves [this Day in Hell] when you were invited to faith, but you refused."
Simplified Tafsir
إن الذين جحدوا أن الله هو الإله الحق وصرفوا العبادة لغيره عندما يعاينون أهوال النار بأنفسهم، يَمْقُتون أنفسهم أشد المقت، وعند ذلك يناديهم خزنة جهنم: لَمقت الله لكم في الدنيا- حين طلب منكم الإيمان به واتباع رسله، فأبيتم- أكبر من بغضكم لأنفسكم الآن، بعد أن أدركتم أنكم تستحقون سخط الله وعذابه.
