Ayah 64
Surah An-Nisaa
And We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of Allah. And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you, [O Muhammad], and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Accepting of repentance and Merciful.﴿64﴾
Translation
And We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of Allah. And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you, [O Muhammad], and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Accepting of repentance and Merciful.
Simplified Tafsir
وما بعَثْنَا من رسول من رسلنا، إلا ليستجاب له، بأمر الله تعالى وقضائه. ولو أن هؤلاء الذين ظلموا أنفسهم باقتراف السيئات، جاؤوك -أيها الرسول- في حياتك تائبين سائلين الله أن يغفر لهم ذنوبهم، واستغفرت لهم، لوجدوا الله توابًا رحيمًا.
