Ayah 49

Surah An-Nisaa

Have you not seen those who claim themselves to be pure? Rather, Allah purifies whom He wills, and injustice is not done to them, [even] as much as a thread [inside a date seed].﴿49﴾

Translation

Have you not seen those who claim themselves to be pure? Rather, Allah purifies whom He wills, and injustice is not done to them, [even] as much as a thread [inside a date seed].

Simplified Tafsir

ألم تعلم -أيها الرسول- أمر أولئك الذين يُثنون على أنفسهم وأعمالهم، ويصفونها بالطهر والبعد عن السوء؟ بل الله تعالى وحده هو الذي يثني على مَن يشاء مِن عباده، لعلمه بحقيقة أعمالهم، ولا يُنقَصون من أعمالهم شيئًا مقدار الخيط الذي يكون في شق نَواة التمرة.
