Surah Al-Ahzaab
O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.﴿59﴾
Translation
O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
Simplified Tafsir
يا أيها النبي قل لأزواجك وبناتك ونساء المؤمنين يرخين على رؤوسهن ووجوههن من أرديتهن وملاحفهن؛ لستر وجوههن وصدورهن ورؤوسهن؛ ذلك أقرب أن يميَّزن بالستر والصيانة، فلا يُتعَرَّض لهن بمكروه أو أذى. وكان الله غفورًا رحيمًا حيث غفر لكم ما سلف، ورحمكم بما أوضح لكم من الحلال والحرام.
