Surah Luqman
And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful.﴿18﴾
Translation
And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful.
Simplified Tafsir
ولا تُمِلْ وجهك عن الناس إذا كلَّمتهم أو كلموك؛ احتقارًا منك لهم واستكبارًا عليهم، ولا تمش في الأرض بين الناس مختالا متبخترًا، إن الله لا يحب كل متكبر متباه في نفسه وهيئته وقوله.
