Surah Ar-Room
And We have already sent messengers before you to their peoples, and they came to them with clear evidences; then We took retribution from those who committed crimes, and incumbent upon Us was support of the believers.﴿47﴾
Translation
And We have already sent messengers before you to their peoples, and they came to them with clear evidences; then We took retribution from those who committed crimes, and incumbent upon Us was support of the believers.
Simplified Tafsir
ولقد أرسلنا مِن قبلك -أيها الرسول- رسلا إلى قومهم مبشرين ومنذرين يدعونهم إلى التوحيد، ويحذرونهم من الشرك، فجاؤوهم بالمعجزات والبراهين الساطعة، فكفر أكثرهم بربهم، فانتقمنا من الذين اكتسبوا السيئات منهم، فأهلكناهم، ونصرنا المؤمنين أتباع الرسل، وكذلك نفعل بالمكذبين بك إن استمروا على تكذيبك، ولم يؤمنوا.
