Ayah 147

Surah Aal-i-Imraan

And their words were not but that they said, "Our Lord, forgive us our sins and the excess [committed] in our affairs and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people."﴿147﴾

Translation

And their words were not but that they said, "Our Lord, forgive us our sins and the excess [committed] in our affairs and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people."

Simplified Tafsir

وما كان قول هؤلاء الصابرين إلا أن قالوا: ربنا اغفر لنا ذنوبنا، وما وقع منا مِن تجاوزٍ في أمر ديننا، وثبِّت أقدامنا حتى لا نفرَّ من قتال عدونا، وانصرنا على مَن جحد وحدانيتك ونبوة أنبيائك.
