Surah Aal-i-Imraan
And how many a prophet [fought and] with him fought many religious scholars. But they never lost assurance due to what afflicted them in the cause of Allah, nor did they weaken or submit. And Allah loves the steadfast.﴿146﴾
Translation
And how many a prophet [fought and] with him fought many religious scholars. But they never lost assurance due to what afflicted them in the cause of Allah, nor did they weaken or submit. And Allah loves the steadfast.
Simplified Tafsir
كثير من الأنبياء السابقين قاتل معهم جموع كثيرة من أصحابهم، فما ضعفوا لِمَا نزل بهم من جروح أو قتل؛ لأن ذلك في سبيل ربهم، وما عَجَزوا، ولا خضعوا لعدوهم، إنما صبروا على ما أصابهم. والله يحب الصابرين.
