Surah Al-Ankaboot
And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud, and it has become clear to you from their [ruined] dwellings. And Satan had made pleasing to them their deeds and averted them from the path, and they were endowed with perception.﴿38﴾
Translation
And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud, and it has become clear to you from their [ruined] dwellings. And Satan had made pleasing to them their deeds and averted them from the path, and they were endowed with perception.
Simplified Tafsir
وأهلكنا عادًا وثمود، وقد تبين لكم من مساكنهم خَرابُها وخلاؤها منهم، وحلول نقمتنا بهم جميعًا، وحسَّن لهم الشيطان أعمالهم القبيحة، فصدَّهم عن سبيل الله وعن طريق الإيمان به وبرسله، وكانوا مستبصرين في كفرهم وضلالهم، معجبين به، يحسبون أنهم على هدى وصواب، بينما هم في الضلال غارقون.
