Surah Al-Qasas
So he came out before his people in his adornment. Those who desired the worldly life said, "Oh, would that we had like what was given to Qarun. Indeed, he is one of great fortune."﴿79﴾
Translation
So he came out before his people in his adornment. Those who desired the worldly life said, "Oh, would that we had like what was given to Qarun. Indeed, he is one of great fortune."
Simplified Tafsir
فخرج قارون على قومه في زينته، مريدًا بذلك إظهار عظمته وكثرة أمواله، وحين رآه الذين يريدون زينة الحياة الدنيا قالوا: يا ليت لنا مثل ما أُعطي قارون من المال والزينة والجاه، إن قارون لذو نصيب عظيم من الدنيا.
