Surah Al-Furqaan
And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion.﴿60﴾
Translation
And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion.
Simplified Tafsir
وإذا قيل للكافرين: اسجدوا للرحمن واعبدوه قالوا: ما نعرف الرحمن، أنسجد لما تأمرنا بالسجود له طاعة لأمرك؟ وزادهم دعاؤهم إلى السجود للرحمن بُعْداً عن الإيمان ونفورًا منه.
