Surah Al-Furqaan
But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection.﴿3﴾
Translation
But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection.
Simplified Tafsir
واتخذ مشركو العرب معبودات من دون الله لا تستطيع خَلْق شيء، والله خلقها وخلقهم، ولا تملك لنفسها دَفْعَ ضر أو جلب نفع، ولا تستطيع إماتة حي أو إحياء ميت، أو بعث أحد من الأموات حيًا من قبره.
