Surah An-Noor
And let not those of virtue among you and wealth swear not to give [aid] to their relatives and the needy and the emigrants for the cause of Allah, and let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.﴿22﴾
Translation
And let not those of virtue among you and wealth swear not to give [aid] to their relatives and the needy and the emigrants for the cause of Allah, and let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Simplified Tafsir
ولا يحلف أهل الفضل في الدين والسَّعَة في المال على ترك صلة أقربائهم الفقراء والمحتاجين والمهاجرين، ومنعهم النفقة؛ بسبب ذنب فعلوه، ولْيتجاوزوا عن إساءتهم، ولا يعاقبوهم. ألا تحبون أن يتجاوز الله عنكم؟ فتجاوزوا عنهم. والله غفور لعباده، رحيم بهم. وفي هذا الحثُّ على العفو والصفح، ولو قوبل بالإساءة.
