Surah Al-Hajj
So have they not traveled through the earth and have hearts by which to reason and ears by which to hear? For indeed, it is not eyes that are blinded, but blinded are the hearts which are within the breasts.﴿46﴾
Translation
So have they not traveled through the earth and have hearts by which to reason and ears by which to hear? For indeed, it is not eyes that are blinded, but blinded are the hearts which are within the breasts.
Simplified Tafsir
أفلم يَسِر المكذبون من قريش في الأرض ليشاهدوا آثار المهلكين، فيتفكروا بعقولهم، فيعتبروا، ويسمعوا أخبارهم سماع تدبُّر فيتعظوا؟ فإن العمى ليس عمى البصر، وإنما العمى المُهْلِك هو عمى البصيرة عن إدراك الحق والاعتبار.
