Surah Taa-Haa
So high [above all] is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth. And, [O Muhammad], do not hasten with [recitation of] the Qur'an before its revelation is completed to you, and say, "My Lord, increase me in knowledge."﴿114﴾
Translation
So high [above all] is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth. And, [O Muhammad], do not hasten with [recitation of] the Qur'an before its revelation is completed to you, and say, "My Lord, increase me in knowledge."
Simplified Tafsir
فتنزَّه الله - سبحانه - وارتفع، وتقدَّس عن كل نقص، الملك الذي قهر سلطانه كل ملك وجبار، المتصرف بكل شيء، الذي هو حق، ووعده حق، ووعيده حق، وكل شيء منه حق. ولا تعجل - أيها الرسول - بمسابقة جبريل في تَلَقِّي القرآن قبل أن يَفْرَغ منه، وقل: ربِّ زدني علمًا إلى ما علمتني.
