Surah Al-Baqara
They [think to] deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not.﴿9﴾
Translation
They [think to] deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not.
Simplified Tafsir
يعتقدون بجهلهم أنهم يخادعون الله والذين آمنوا بإظهارهم الإيمان وإضمارهم الكفر، وما يخدعون إلا أنفسهم؛ لأن عاقبة خداعهم تعود عليهم. ومِن فرط جهلهم لا يُحِسُّون بذلك؛ لفساد قلوبهم.
