Surah Al-Baqara
To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Whether you show what is within yourselves or conceal it, Allah will bring you to account for it. Then He will forgive whom He wills and punish whom He wills, and Allah is over all things competent.﴿284﴾
Translation
To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Whether you show what is within yourselves or conceal it, Allah will bring you to account for it. Then He will forgive whom He wills and punish whom He wills, and Allah is over all things competent.
Simplified Tafsir
لله ملك السماوات والأرض وما فيهما ملكًا وتدبيرًا وإحاطة، لا يخفى عليه شيء. وما تظهروه مما في أنفسكم أو تخفوه فإن الله يعلمه، وسيحاسبكم به، فيعفو عمن يشاء، ويؤاخذ من يشاء. والله قادر على كل شيء، وقد أكرم الله المسلمين بعد ذلك فعفا عن حديث النفس وخطرات القلب ما لم يتبعها كلام أو عمل، كما ثبت ذلك عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم.
