Ayah 100

Surah Al-Baqara

Is it not [true] that every time they took a covenant a party of them threw it away? But, [in fact], most of them do not believe.﴿100﴾

Translation

Is it not [true] that every time they took a covenant a party of them threw it away? But, [in fact], most of them do not believe.

Simplified Tafsir

ما أقبح حال بني إسرائيل في نقضهم للعهود!! فكلما عاهدوا عهدًا طرح ذلك العهد فريق منهم، ونقضوه، فتراهم يُبْرِمون العهد اليوم وينقضونه غدًا، بل أكثرهم لا يصدِّقون بما جاء به نبي الله ورسوله محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم.
