Surah An-Nahl
And if Allah had willed, He could have made you [of] one religion, but He causes to stray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And you will surely be questioned about what you used to do.﴿93﴾
Translation
And if Allah had willed, He could have made you [of] one religion, but He causes to stray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And you will surely be questioned about what you used to do.
Simplified Tafsir
ولو شاء الله لوفَّقكم كلكم، فجعلكم على ملة واحدة، وهي الإسلام والإيمان، وألزمكم به، ولكنه سبحانه يُضلُّ مَن يشاء ممن علم منه إيثار الضلال، فلا يهديه عدلا منه، ويهدي مَن يشاء مِمَّن علم منه إيثار الحق، فيوفقه فضلا منه، وليسألنَّكم الله جميعًا يوم القيامة عما كنتم تعملون في الدنيا فيما أمركم به، ونهاكم عنه، وسيجازيكم على ذلك.
