Surah An-Nahl
And fulfill the covenant of Allah when you have taken it, [O believers], and do not break oaths after their confirmation while you have made Allah, over you, a witness. Indeed, Allah knows what you do.﴿91﴾
Translation
And fulfill the covenant of Allah when you have taken it, [O believers], and do not break oaths after their confirmation while you have made Allah, over you, a witness. Indeed, Allah knows what you do.
Simplified Tafsir
والتزموا الوفاء بكل عهد أوجبتموه على أنفسكم بينكم وبين الله -تعالى- أو بينكم وبين الناس فيما لا يخالف كتاب الله وسنة نبيه، ولا ترجعوا في الأيمان بعد أن أكَّدْتموها، وقد جعلتم الله عليكم كفيلا وضامنًا حين عاهدتموه. إن الله يعلم ما تفعلونه، وسيجزيكم عليه.
