Surah An-Nahl
He hides himself from the people because of the ill of which he has been informed. Should he keep it in humiliation or bury it in the ground? Unquestionably, evil is what they decide.﴿59﴾
Translation
He hides himself from the people because of the ill of which he has been informed. Should he keep it in humiliation or bury it in the ground? Unquestionably, evil is what they decide.
Simplified Tafsir
يستخفي مِن قومه كراهة أن يلقاهم متلبسًا بما ساءه من الحزن والعار؛ بسبب البنت التي وُلِدت له، ومتحيرًا في أمر هذه المولودة: أيبقيها حية على ذلٍّ وهوان، أم يدفنها حية في التراب؟ ألا بئس الحكم الذي حكموه مِن جَعْل البنات لله والذكور لهم.
