Surah An-Nahl
The sabbath was only appointed for those who differed over it. And indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.﴿124﴾
Translation
The sabbath was only appointed for those who differed over it. And indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.
Simplified Tafsir
إنما جعل الله تعظيم يوم السبت بالتفرغ للعبادة فيه على اليهود الذين اختلفوا فيه على نبيهم، واختاروه بدل يوم الجمعة الذي أُمِروا بتعظيمه. فإن ربك -أيها الرسول- لَيحكم بين المختلفين يوم القيامة فيما اختلفوا فيه على نبيهم، ويجازي كلا بما يستحقه.
