Surah Hud
We only say that some of our gods have possessed you with evil." He said, "Indeed, I call Allah to witness, and witness [yourselves] that I am free from whatever you associate with Allah﴿54﴾
Translation
We only say that some of our gods have possessed you with evil." He said, "Indeed, I call Allah to witness, and witness [yourselves] that I am free from whatever you associate with Allah
Simplified Tafsir
ما نقول إلا أن بعض آلهتنا أصابك بجنون بسبب نهيك عن عبادتها. قال لهم: إني أُشهد الله على ما أقول، وأُشهدكم على أنني بريء مما تشركون، مِن دون الله من الأنداد والأصنام، فانظروا واجتهدوا أنتم ومَن زعمتم من آلهتكم في إلحاق الضرر بي، ثم لا تؤخروا ذلك طرفة عين؛ ذلك أن هودًا واثق كل الوثوق أنه لا يصيبه منهم ولا من آلهتهم أذى.
