Surah Hud
He said, "O Noah, indeed he is not of your family; indeed, he is [one whose] work was other than righteous, so ask Me not for that about which you have no knowledge. Indeed, I advise you, lest you be among the ignorant."﴿46﴾
Translation
He said, "O Noah, indeed he is not of your family; indeed, he is [one whose] work was other than righteous, so ask Me not for that about which you have no knowledge. Indeed, I advise you, lest you be among the ignorant."
Simplified Tafsir
قال الله: يا نوح إن ابنك الذي هلك ليس من أهلك الذين وعدتك أن أنجيهم؛ وذلك بسبب كفره، وعمله عملا غير صالح، وإني أنهاك أن تسألني أمرًا لا علم لك به، إني أعظك لئلا تكون من الجاهلين في مسألتك إياي عن ذلك.
