Surah Hud
And he constructed the ship, and whenever an assembly of the eminent of his people passed by him, they ridiculed him. He said, "If you ridicule us, then we will ridicule you just as you ridicule.﴿38﴾
Translation
And he constructed the ship, and whenever an assembly of the eminent of his people passed by him, they ridiculed him. He said, "If you ridicule us, then we will ridicule you just as you ridicule.
Simplified Tafsir
ويصنع نوح السفينة، وكلَّما مر عليه جماعة من كبراء قومه سخروا منه، قال لهم نوح: إن تسخروا منا اليوم لجهلكم بصدق وعد الله، فإنا نسخر منكم غدًا عند الغرق كما تسخرون منا.
