Surah Hud
Those were not causing failure [to Allah] on earth, nor did they have besides Allah any protectors. For them the punishment will be multiplied. They were not able to hear, nor did they see.﴿20﴾
Translation
Those were not causing failure [to Allah] on earth, nor did they have besides Allah any protectors. For them the punishment will be multiplied. They were not able to hear, nor did they see.
Simplified Tafsir
أولئك الكافرون لم يكونوا ليفوتوا الله في الدنيا هربًا، وما كان لهم مِن أنصار يمنعونهم من عقابه. يضاعَفُ لهم العذاب في جهنم؛ لأنهم كانوا لا يستطيعون أن يسمعوا القرآن سماع منتفع، أو يبصروا آيات الله في هذا الكون إبصار مهتد؛ لاشتغالهم بالكفر الذي كانوا عليه مقيمين.
