Ayah 85

Surah Yunus

So they said, "Upon Allah do we rely. Our Lord, make us not [objects of] trial for the wrongdoing people﴿85﴾

Translation

So they said, "Upon Allah do we rely. Our Lord, make us not [objects of] trial for the wrongdoing people

Simplified Tafsir

فقال قوم موسى له: على الله وحده لا شريك له اعتمدنا، وإليه فوَّضنا أمرنا، ربنا لا تنصرهم علينا فيكون ذلك فتنة لنا عن الدين، أو يُفتن الكفارُ بنصرهم، فيقولوا: لو كانوا على حق لما غُلبوا.
